Laura and Dan 2009

  • Oil on Canvas
  • 14″ x 14″
  • In the collection of LM/DZ

This “just for fun” painting attempts to “fool the eye” with a towel, photo and key holder. Laura and Dan will have to report to me if anyone ever grabs for the towel.

Nancy Marshall is interested in seeing the big picture through small things. Not only are her paintings about community and companionship, they also focus on the elements of earth, wind, fire and water. The work combines the beauty of place with an awareness of life sustaining elements of place.

"Beneath the Surface"

"Beneath the Surface"

Whether in a still life or real life not everything is as it first appears. A deeper look may bring a whole new meaning.

"Ogallala Siren"

As creatures who seek beauty, comfort and ease, we should not trust ourselves to automatically do what’s right. Take precautions, act from your higher self and add truth to your search.

Living builds memories and as I age I become nostalgic about them. Although I’m living NOW, I observe life’s many passages as measured movement in time and space observed in memory.
