Tribute to Grandma

Grandma’s Proudest Moment

Grandma was born in 1893 and died nearly 100 years later. I loved my grandma who was careful, methodical and would talk to me about anything. I once asked her what her proudest moment was. She said it was when the man at the meat locker said, “Mrs. Lehenbauer, you have the cleanest chickens in town.” So, no, this is not a plucked chicken playing the gingerbread man. This is the cleanest chicken in town with my grandparents’ farm on old Hwy 24, on the distant hill.
